 1) Brownie, eigentlich Walter Brown McGhee, amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Gitarre, Gesang), * Knoxville (Tennessee) 30. 11. 1915, ✝ Oakland (Calif.) 16. 2. 1996; arbeitete von 1939 bis Ende der 70er-Jahre im Duo mit Sonny Terry (* 1911, ✝ 1986); war einer der bedeutendsten Interpreten des traditionellen Blues.
 
 2) Howard, amerikanischer Jazzmusiker (Trompete), * Tulsa (Oklahoma) 6. 3. 1918, ✝ New York 17. 7. 1987; wirkte 1942 bei den ersten Bebopsessions in Minton's Playhouse in New York mit; spielte bei »Jazz at the Philharmonic« und leitete in den 60er-Jahren eine eigene Bigband.
